Beyond language instruction, the Greek School of Exeter places great importance on connecting students with Greek and Cypriot culture through a variety of activities and celebrations throughout the school year.
Our extracurricular and cultural programme helps children engage with traditions, develop confidence, and build community spirit through shared experiences.
Cultural Activities
National Holiday Celebrations
Students take part in performances and presentations for important dates such as Greek Independence Day (25 March) and Ohi Day (28 October), learning songs, poems, and historical context.Seasonal and Religious Celebrations
Events may include carol singing (κάλαντα) at Christmas, Easter crafts and traditions, and other seasonal customs.Workshops and Thematic Days
These may include cooking, traditional dancing, storytelling, art activities, or film viewings related to Greek culture and history.School Outings & Events

These activities are made possible thanks to the involvement of the parents association, our dedicated teachers, and volunteers.
